You may have heard that SmileDirectClub, a Telehealth orthodontics company has abandoned its patients and gone bankrupt. This company spent millions in marketing efforts promising straight teeth via do-it-yourself molding kits you get in the mail.  Seuss Orthodontics as well as the American Association of Orthodontics, warned about using these types of at-home, do-it-yourself companies.

This company faced two class action lawsuits, alleging that patients suffered painful damage to their teeth as a result of using their aligners.
